ABSTRACT: Exploring the benefits of early childhood robotics programs on problem-solving is essential for understanding their impact on young children's cognitive development. This study aimed to evaluate how robotics programs influence problem-solving abilities in early childhood. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in critical thinking and analytical skills, (2) evaluate the role of hands-on learning experiences, and (3) examine the development of collaborative problem-solving abilities. A survey design was chosen to systematically collect data from participants. A purposive sample of 130 children aged 4-6 years, who participated in robotics programs, was selected from an early childhood education center in Edo State. Findings revealed significant improvements in critical thinking and analytical skills, the effectiveness of hands-on learning experiences, and enhanced collaborative problem-solving abilities. The study recommended integrating robotics programs into early childhood curricula and providing training for educators to effectively facilitate robotics-based learning.
